• Lewis Turkington was back on track at the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit on Friday 27th March, taking part in a busy test day alongside a strong field of 26 junior drivers.
  • Across three 30-minute sessions, the day was shaped by constantly changing weather conditions and a number of lengthy red flags, creating a challenging environment for all involved.
  • Session 1 took place on a damp and greasy circuit, with low grip levels making it an ideal opportunity for Turkington to settle in and build confidence. With conditions far from straightforward, the focus was on gaining a feel for the car and adapting to the slippery surface.
  • Session 2 unfortunately offered very limited running. Red flags prevented the session from properly getting underway, and although the track was beginning to dry, there was no chance to make the most of the improving conditions.
  • The final session saw another shift in weather, with heavy rain leaving the circuit very wet. Further red flags interrupted the running, but Turkington was still able to gain some useful experience in full wet conditions whenever track time allowed.
  • While the stop-start nature of the day meant opportunities were limited, it still provided valuable exposure to a wide range of track conditions. From damp and greasy to fully wet, the test offered important learning moments that will contribute to ongoing development ahead of the season opener.
