Lewis Turkington made a big impression over the weekend as he took part in his first ever Junior National Championships at Cambridge.

The Driving Dyslexia Forward young racing driver competed against 102 other Juniors in the race to be the 2023 Junior Champion.  Despite a tricky start on Saturday with engine issues, Lewis produced some gutsy drives to secure two third place results.  He followed this up on Sunday with another third place finish to qualify for the quarter finals.  He further progressed from here with another third to make it through to the final sixteen in the semi finals.

Unfortunately a gear box problem off the line hampered his chances of a place in the final but a 6th place result in the semi final was a huge result for a newcomer to the sport competing against the best and most experienced outfits in the UK.

Lewis was a star performer of the weekend punching way above the weight of his machinery.
